Trump-Kim agree to the “complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula”

The historic meeting between the two leader finally took place and the results of the meeting seem to be for the benefit of the Korean Peninsula and of the general region but of the world too.

The two leader agreed to the “complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula” with pledges from the USA of unspecified “security guarantees” to the regime of Kim Jong-Un.

Trump and Kim had one-on-one meetings, as well as meetings with advisers and had a working lunch.

The summit that up until a month ago seemed impossible was held with success in Singapore to the benefit of the stability of the region and of the further dominance of peace in the world.

Of course the deal is one that will take a long time and will not be instantaneous but as Trump said  that “once you start the process it means it’s pretty much over”.

The document that was signed did not have many details only that the countries agreed to continue talks and echoed past agreements. It also did not include any agreement on the ending of the technical state of warfare between the USA and North Korea.

The US President invited the North Korean leader to the White House at an “appropriate time” and said that he expects to meet him “many times” in the future.
